    try to just touch him first then after one week maybe try to pick it up, it freaks a little but Corn snake teeth can’t break human skin so it’s not that bad if you get bitten. And most important, never NEVER touch his head.

    i just bought a new baby corn snake, he is only about 7 inches long, when ever i try and pick him up he moves back or puts his head into that angled position as if to strike, when i bought him the people at pet co said he had no eaten in two weed due to him being stubborn. idk if he is just a moody snake but, me and my little brother share him so i dont wnt my brother getting bit. so how do i know when its okay to pick him up?

    Hey, I don’t have snakes but I’ve been doing my research as I’m preparing to get one :)
    It needs one half of the tank to have a heat source (Heat mat ideally, NOT a hot rock) and the other side to be cool and have the water dish in. You need a light bulb to simulate day time if the snake is in a more shaded place in day time, and that would need turning out at night :)

    as long as the temperatures in his terrarium are right and the humidity is correct it doesn’t matter if you keep him in your bedroom or the garage etc ,….if you keep him in a garage you will probably use a infrared during the night because the heatmat on itself wont be able to keep up the temperatures .
