   Depends on your experience to be honest. I found it difficult to deal with cleaning and feeding since they are so small. I used pinhead crickets mostly. But, be careful they are super fast and can easily vanish if they get loose and run from you.

   Are you kidding me?!?!? That’s a G. Rosea. It doesn’t need all that. I only needs a shelter, a shallow bowl of water and dry substrate. You only need to add extra stuff if you want to. I had a Rose hair for 15 years and she did great in a 10 gal tank with 6 inch deep coco fiber and cork bark shelter.

   I’m new to the hobby, but I hear it’s best to get a sling (short for spiderling) because you can never tell the age of older tarantulas. Males live only a year or two, and females live up to decade or so. Regardless, you could get a supposed ‘older’ tarantula and have it die within months or even weeks. It’s best to raise ‘em up. If you send me a PM, I can link you to a tarantula forum I recently joined, they usually get around to questions pretty quickly.)

   Also, that environment is ABSOLUTELY terrible. I hope that tank was just for demonstration purposes. Tarantulas need dense enclosures filled with climbing stations, *live* vegetation, and such. It has to be dense and somewhat tight to mimic their natural environment. If you put a T in an enclosure like that, you’re just going to have it stressing out from walking the inside over and over looking for a spot to den. No thanks to misinformation.     Wow, talk about misinformed. I’m new to this hobby and all the enthusiasts tell me that once you set up the Tarantula’s enclosure, you don’t feed them for the first week to allow them to lower their stress level by exploring their environment. Dropping them into an enclosure then throwing food up in their face can stress them out. Well, what can you expect from ExpertVillage. :/
