The most disturbing thing I read was that they were actively trying to keep alternate views from being published in peer reviewed journals, and they were scheming to manipulate data. They actively worked to undermine any scientific journal that would publish contrary data and analysis. That tells me that these global warming scientists are not scientists at all. Science is about finding the truth. You can’t find the truth if you are manipulating the data and undermining scientific journals that publish scientific findings that are contrary to your opinion.
Evidently these people don’t read or listen to the news very much.

Why hasn’t anyone posting these question put up a link to prove their case? Scientists don’t want to lose their credibility – if they lose it once it is gone forever – you don’t get it back. The vast majority of climate scientists (and John McCain) acknowledge that global warming is real and that its cause is manmade. The only real question now is what to do about it. Unless of course you would like to show why your credentials in supercomputer modeling of global atmospheric climatology is better than the guys with the Ph.D. educations? This is a science issue – not a political one.

The adding of real data on some records that were made up of falsified data and this was called the trick…
They go on to talk about how the actual data doesn’t support their theory and the planet is really cooling. Then they blame it on inadequate ways of gathering data or temperature readings. In the e-mails there is clear frustration and anxiety over this.
Edit: They are a small part of the larger group of scientists who are corrupted by the lure of easy money. The irony behind this is the global warming could be considered a religion to those people who believe in its existence, but have no religious denominations

Global warming is just the trumped up idea of Washington DC. A way to fine companies and individuals if they dont comply.
